We have been working together in groups searching
for information, getting pictures and putting it all together.
The main places we focused on were Guatemala,
Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico and Phillippiness. While searching for information
we were finding out how isolated, alone, inpain, suffering and degraded
the people who lived in these places are. Also, other things we focused
on were migrant farmers and innercity poor.
We decided to do this project "Hunger, Pain
and Heling Others" because Ms. Sweetapple came into our class and we did
an activity that she recieved. After doing the activity that everyone liked,
a student, Jessica Pelley, suggested that we all do a class presentation
for the school and the activity. Everyone agreed and we started right away.
For the activity that we did, all of the
students had to get down on the balls of their feet and could use their
pointer finger to help keep themselves up. While they were down they had
to keep their eyes closed, Ms. Sweetappple read an article to us. There
would be certain points in the article where she would stop and go around
and tap someone on the shoulder. The first time you would get tapped you
could stand up, with your eyes closed. On the second tap you could open
your eyes.
